Mr. Mount graduated magna cum laude in 2000 from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology. In 2005, he graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Government with a Master of Public Administration degree.

Mr. Mount continued his education by earning his Juris Doctor degree in 2008 from the University of North Carolina School of Law. While in law school, he clerked for Emmett Boney Haywood and then joined her firm in September 2008 as an associate attorney. Mr. Mount’s practice within the law firm focuses on representing property owners in eminent domain and land condemnation matters in Raleigh and throughout all of North Carolina.

Areas of Practice

Eminent Domain, Inverse Condemnation, Property Rights Litigation.

Prior Professional Experience

Before attending graduate school in 2003, Mr. Mount worked for a trial law firm in Durham, North Carolina. While in graduate school, he was a legislative assistant at the North Carolina General Assembly. During law school, he interned at the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the North Carolina Department of Justice.
